SpeedOK measures your Internet connection without requiring an account.
Measurements and history
The app measures download and upload speed, latency, jitter, loaded latency, test duration and transferred bytes. Local history remains on your device. When cloud history is enabled, measurement records are sent to this service with a randomly generated installation secret. Only a protected form of this secret is stored. This stable installation identifier associates measurement records and coarse location from the same installation without requiring a name or account. Cloud records include connection type, your network's approximate city and country derived from its network address, and the measurement node code. City and country describe the client's approximate network location, not the data center location; the app does not collect GPS coordinates.
Network services
Tests connect to available measurement nodes, selected automatically based on your network route. Network service providers receive your IP address and ordinary request information to deliver the service. SpeedOK's measurement database does not store raw IP addresses. Temporary anonymized network information is used for abuse prevention. Results depend on your route and conditions at the time.
Retention and deletion
The service retains up to the latest 500 records per installation. You can delete your cloud history from the app. An installation secret is needed to access or delete cloud records; reinstalling the app or losing the secret can make those records inaccessible. This service does not sell measurement history.
Advertising
After your first successful speed test, SpeedOK uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency dialog to ask for tracking permission if you have not already chosen. If you decline or tracking is restricted, advertising stays off: SpeedOK does not initialize advertising, load ads or show a regional advertising consent form. Speed testing, history, export and optional cloud sync remain available. You can change tracking permission in iOS Settings.
If you allow tracking, SpeedOK checks regional consent requirements and shows Google's official advertising consent form where required. You can manage required advertising privacy options in the app's Settings. Your advertising identifier may be used to measure ads across apps and websites. Advertising partners may process IP addresses, approximate location, ad interactions and diagnostics to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. SpeedOK does not send your saved measurement history to advertisers.
Your choices
You can use device history, disable cloud synchronization and delete saved history in the app. Speed tests transfer real data and may count toward a carrier's data allowance. Start a test only when you accept its displayed data budget.
